Bui Phong Vũ (Yoyo) is one of the few young artists in Vietnam working with traditional Dó paper. A graduate of the College of Fine Arts, Hung Vuong University, he has explored various media, from oil and watercolor to papier-mâché and wood. Since joining the Zó Project in 2013, Dó paper has become central to his artistic journey, continuing to inspire his work in Europe.

In the exhibition The Animated Shadows, Vũ explored the interplay between reality and the virtual through shadow imagery. His paintings transform these fleeting forms into poetic expressions, merging opposites into a subtle and enigmatic harmony
